Happy 2017!
This morning, A and I were talking about the movie Bladerunner with Harrison Ford. We realized that it was ahead of its time. Then we wondered, "what's a word for 'ahead of its time'?"

It's 2017 and we don't have a good word for ahead of its time. We also don't have words that rhyme with "orange".

So we have made up a word: torange. It means, you guessed it,  "ahead of its time"

E.g. Dawn of the Dead was torange.

Dear Readers, Sorry about the absence. It has been a busy month for one reason or another. This recipe was what I made for Thanksgiving, but it would be perfect for your Christmas entertaining as well! For this recipe, I will not put nutritional information. Mostly because I do not know how to calculate it with the duck confit. What is duck confit (pronounced "con-fee" or [ kÉ”̃fi ])? Well, it literally means "prepared" (comes from French confire , i.e. "to prepare"). It is slow cooked duck in rendered duck fat. It sounds peculiar, but duck confit is probably one of the best things I have ever tasted. Duck meat may be a little gamey, but it melts in your mouth and tastes succulent. However, even though the duck is cooked in its own fat, it doesn't taste oily. This dish may be on the expensive side too. Mostly because it calls for duck leg and rendered duck fat. Curried egg sandwich

I definitely need a better camera. But it is SO easy just to click upload on my camera phone. Sigh. So today, I decided to try something new (shocking). My method of putting random stuff together and it accidentally tasting delicious has worked for me a lot of times, so why not, right? Well today, I felt like it was a sandwich kind of day. Going along with the theme of making your kitchen reek, I decided to make curried egg sandwich. WARNING: Before you buy your eggs, be aware of the current egg recall that is going on. Prep time: 5 min Cook time: 5 min Approx Calories: 250 Ingredients: 2 slices of bread (wheat to add healthy to it) 3-4 slices of cucumber 2-3 slices of tomato Onion 2 egg whites 1/2 tbsp olive oil 1/4 tsp curry powder Pinch of salt Spread of some sort (I added a special kind I bought from Hy-Vee called Kohinoor Chutney Spread) 1/2 tsp minced garlic Directions: Curried Egg Heat the olive oil in a saucepan.
